Dr. Mary Ivey

Board-certified OB/GYN

Dr. Ivey has been helping women in all stages of life for over 21 years, delivering over 4,000 babies and performing hundreds of surgical procedures treating endometriosis, pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, fibroids, and more.

Over the last several years, she has had more extensive aesthetic training. She feels that aesthetics is an extension of women’s health care. She aims to help women feel more beautiful, empowering them to have more self-confidence and be better at everything they pursue.

Dr. Mary Ivey grew up in South Alabama but is a Northern Michiganer through and through after living here for almost 25 years.  She did her undergraduate in Chemistry at Troy State University in Alabama, then completed her Master’s degree in Biochemistry at Auburn University.

This was followed by 4+ years in biomedical research, then medical school at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine.  Dr. Ivey then completed her residency in OB/Gyn in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

She fell in love with northern Michigan and has practiced in Petoskey, Charlevoix, Manistee, and Ludington. She has two kids: one in college at U of M and one in GVSU. Her passions include traveling and spending time on the water. Her new hobby is learning to captain her new/old vintage 31-foot ChrisCraft.

She continues her love of delivery babies and women’s health care as a locum in the UP.
